Employing traditional techniques and based on the theme of reflections, Mirrors takes the form of a series of meticulously rendered and intricately detailed technical oil paintings that reflect the opposing areas of historic or architecturally significant residences across the globe. The resulting paintings uniquely document the selected spaces, in some instances to the point of near abstraction. The paintings within the series employ high-realism techniques and exist as if they are mimicking or directly reflecting the internal environment of the residence from an interior vantage point, referencing the title of the series and taking on the characteristics of mirrors.
